Sarah’s Process

Sarah Sloboda in action photographing child in Brooklyn, New York CityWhat to expect at a Sarah Sloboda shoot:

  • Friendly interaction
  • Taking time to acknowledge and play with the kids
  • A relaxed atmosphere
  • Subtle encouragement to be free and expressive

Her method:

Sarah’s passion is for photographing the youthful, new-t0-life energy that children exude.  She believes this life energy sustains and renews us all.

She thinks kids are sweet enough as it is, and she respects their dignity by not taking “cutesy” photographs.  She wants them to grow up and cherish the photos as snippets of their lives, things they can share with their future spouse and children.

She is looking for a glimpse into the reality of the unique individual she is photographing.  She honors them and invites their personality to shine through her attitude of playfulness and exploration.
