Ann Arbor, Michigan – Family Photos, No. 1
This summer, I traveled to Ann Arbor, hometown of my alma mater, University of Michigan, for several family photo sessions. In the spirit of editorial-style photography, I wanted to capture a modern look and feel for these families, using settings that showcase the city in its super-green summer state.
Ironically, it was quite chilly the morning I shot these in the Law Quad, always one of my favorite spots on the U of M campus. Despite the freakishly cool weather, we got some awesome moments of the kids playing and snuggling, and I had the perfect excuse to buy a Michigan sweatshirt afterwards. My favorite is the family shot where big brother gives baby sister a kiss — so sweet!
