I love it when a family wants to dress up for a photo shoot. Their formal elegance looked amazing against the concrete background of this architecture in Berkeley, California.
I know not everyone owns dressing up in the same way. I’m guilty myself of California casual jeans a lot of the time! But there’s something awesome about finding a formal outfit that you feel great in. It elevates a person’s energy, and that comes through in photos.
This family nailed it on the clothing front. It’s not just that the clothes are elegant, it’s also that they’re *them*. Their personalities are expressed in the choice of what they wore, and that’s something I try to encourage all of my clients to do — no matter where they fall on the casual-to-formal spectrum.
