Manhattan
One of the best things about New York is the general vibe on the street, and I thought it would be fun to do part of this family session out at the local street fair. What do you think?
I know a lot of families like to have a posed portrait with everyone looking at the camera, and I try my best to get a great shot like that during the session. Well, maybe one or two people aren’t looking, but it’s in that cool, editorial style way, where you can still see everyone’s faces.
But I think having an adventure of some kind during the session opens the kids up to collaborate more, and then I get to capture the little gestures that define personalities, and the energy between the people in the shot.
