It’s not uncommon to get nervous before a photo shoot. In fact, I’ve worked with stage actors who perform in front of hundreds of people and even they tell me that having a camera in their face can be nerve-wracking.
Rem Koolhaas designed the Seattle Central Library, and as a fan of his work with the Prada flagship store in NYC, I felt I had to see it in person.
I got such a beautiful stack of holiday cards from clients and friends this year – did you? These all feature photos I shot for clients (I blurred out the names for privacy).
If you’re feeling a bit of guilt about not sending an annual card of your own, it’s not too late! A lot of my clients are opting to send New Year’s or Valentine’s cards, since there is so much else going on pre-holidays.
One of my fondest Christmas memories is the time I spent the holiday with friends in Normandy, and got to do their baby’s first photo session. At his first Christmas, no less!
Les passages of Paris are enclosed historic shopping arcades, perfect for ducking in out of the rain.
Paris all decked out with Christmas lights is a sight to behold. I walked the Champs-Élysées with this family and snapped some shots of them in the midst of all the bustle. The lights in Paris during the holidays are enough to brighten even the darkest winter spirits. Not to mention the vin chaud available at every Christmas market!
What could be more San Francisco than climbing to the top of Billy Goat Hill, where you can see the entire skyline and rows of Victorian houses all over town? I loved this location suggestion from one of my clients for their Noe Valley family photos.
