Delights: Admire, Decorate + Make
Henri Cartier-Bresson is one of my photography heroes, and yet I didn’t know much about his personal life. In regards to art, I have been known to [controversially] say something along the lines of, “I like the work. I don’t need to know the artist because it’s my experience of the work that matters.” But when I read that Cartier-Bresson and his wife Martine Franck were both photographers, I became intrigued by the idea of these two artists’ lives being documented by artists they equally admired. San Francisco Family Photo Session
Fisherman’s Wharf
Admittedly, the first time I went to Fisherman’s Wharf was when I was seeking an In-n-Out burger. I had heard of the place, but the New Yorker in me assumed it would have something in common with Times Square — mostly a tourist attraction, possibly annoying to navigate, etc. In other words, something you endure to see a Broadway show, or obtain fries and a vanilla shake, as the case may be. Kids and the Creative Process
One of the things I find most inspiring about my work is collaborating with children in the creative process.

3 Cold-Weather Photo Shoot Ideas
Paris + Normandy, France
Winter isn’t the most obvious time for a family photo session, but after the holiday craziness dies down, a lot of families find it easier to schedule. Many of my clients opted to send photo Valentines this year, if they failed to make the Christmas and New Year’s cards deadlines. In case you’re worried about pink noses and making layers work, I put together three concepts for inspiration from photo sessions I did in France this winter that prove it to be a wonderfully creative season for a shoot.
