Virtual Family Photo Project
Photographer John Dolan says, “Photographing is about me absorbing what I feel in this time and space.” That is the true stamp of a photographer on their work.
Love. It’s my favorite thing to document.
I started doing these Date Night photo sessions for couples because so many parents I work with have said to me, “We haven’t had a great portrait of the two of us since the kids were born.”
Couples are complex. It isn’t always perfect all the time, but connection is so important. Capturing the two of you together on Date Night is a lovely way to make memories, and to celebrate what makes you, “you.”
For the past several years, I’ve made a tradition of going on tour to capture family photos in some of my favorite cities. This year, I made stops in Cleveland, New York, and Los Angeles.
I shot this kids fashion editorial series of Calista Evangeline on location in Alameda. (She’s a child model in the San Francisco Bay Area.) We started out in one spot and ended up having a whole different series at the beach. Want to see the progression?
Mango Ink has done it again. When they asked me to share some photos for new modern holiday card designs this year, I was ecstatic.
Book your holiday mini session in New York, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, and Long Beach. These will sell out! Book yours asap.
If you’re in the Bay Area, you will want to check out this gorgeous little shopping area of Oakland called Temescal Alley. It’s actually two alleys that were once carriage houses.
Swap + Chop was a cool event conceptualized in the sharing economy to solve a common problem: Kids get bored with toys quickly, and yet parents don’t want to keep accumulating toys. Combine a toy swap with the fantastic skills of the stylists at Revamp Salon, add photography, and voila! Amazing results, from a really fun day.
Hello from my new hometown, San Francisco!
